KITABU BUK PROJECT AT ENDRU PRIMARY SCHOOL

Endru Primary School, located at 258 Arua, has long been a cornerstone of education in its community, striving to provide quality learning experiences to its students despite numerous challenges. Under the leadership of Mr. Atabua Asema Ronald, the school serves around 915 students, all of whom are in dire need of better resources to enhance their educational journey.

On 2nd August 2024, a significant donation event took place at Endru Primary School. This event was a beacon of hope for the students and teachers alike, marking a collaborative effort to address some of the critical needs of the school. The event was graced by Ms. Agnes A, the District Education Officer (DEO) representative, whose presence underscored the importance of these initiatives in uplifting educational standards across the region.

Kitabu, the organization behind the donation, provided 250 textbooks, 384 exercise books, 40 mathematical sets for P.7 candidates, 50 pens, 120 pencils, 144 packets of sanitary pads, and 20 charts. These contributions were not just materials but symbols of hope, representing a brighter future for the students of Endru Primary School. The donation is particularly impactful considering the school’s current book-to-student ratio of 1:3, a challenge that has been a significant barrier to effective learning.

The event was a moment of reflection and gratitude, with the headteacher, Mr. Atabua Asema Ronald, expressing his deep appreciation for Kitabu’s ongoing support. He emphasized the significant impact these resources would have on the students, particularly those in their final year of primary education. The presence of the DEO further validated the importance of such initiatives, encouraging the community to continue supporting the school.
